Curating a Landscape

I always love when the lines of photography and sculpture are blurred in collage work. Reading this article it reminded me of the surrealist exercise we did in photoshop last week. I think that the artist has so much more freedom to manipulate how the viewer sees the original photograph when they are able to overlay it with some form of medium. The photographer in the article talked about how when Covid hit they were able to rely more heavily on their collaging skills and pull images from their archives, still being able to create brand new pieces out of completely recycled source pieces.
