This article discusses the history of using technology to create art as well as its relation to art history. The author describes digital painting as a “marriage of opposites.” As someone with a background in fine arts and painting, while creating digital pieces I often contemplate the contrasts between my artistic process in the physical realm, and thought it was interesting to read through this article and see how other artists have used and taken inspiration from digital mediums to produce art.
