While reading through Invisible Cities I was reminded of this surrealist painting I saw at the PMA. This painting stood out to me because of the sense of space and setting it emulates. The abstract landscape creates its own small and surreal world. I think the overall composition as well as the color palette is quite beautiful. The blobs that are floating through the front of the painting seem to be in motion. This movement adds to the surrealist nature of the piece, giving the world more of a sense of realism while still remaining abstract.
