Play a Game of UNO with Nina Chanel Abney’s New Deck Featuring Her Bold, Energetic Style
Something I found really interesting about Susan Kare’s design work was that many of her designs were icons that I had never considered a designer’s role in. Her work is highly recognizable and established a baseline for computer icons. Susan Kare was responsible for so much of Apple’s early icon design that I wonder how the interface would’ve appeared had another designer been chosen to work on it. A similar idea is explored in Nina Chanel Abney’s reinterpretation of the game UNO. UNO is a classic game and its appearance is well known and established, but this well known appearance is altered for this special version of the game.
